Powertrain improvements to the new 2011 Chrysler Town & Country offer more horsepower and torque without sacrificing fuel economy. The new 2011 Chrysler Town & Country is powered by the new Pentastar V-6 engine mated to a six-speed automatic transmission, producing 283 horsepower and 260 lb.-ft. of torque while still achieving an estimated EPA fuel economy rating of 17 miles per gallon (mpg) city and 25 mpg highway (compared with the previous 3.8-liter and 3.3-liter V-6 engines, which produced 197 hp and 230 lb.-ft. of torque and 175 hp and 205 lb.-ft. of torque respectively). Improvements to the driving dynamics, a new fuel economizer mode that helps maximize fuel economy and reductions in noise, vibration and harshness gives drivers a spirited driving experience that doesn't hurt the wallet.

Quality materials abound in the handsomely updated new interior for 2011. Updates include a new instrument panel and instrument cluster; new Chrysler Brand steering wheel with integrated controls that allow the driver to operate the radio, cruise control, handsfree phone and other vehicle functions while keeping their hands on the wheel; upgraded cloth and leather seating materials; new "soft touch" door trim and new heating and cooling control system.

Changes over 2010 include a larger front sway bar; new rear sway bar; new rear suspension; increased rear roll center height; new spring rates; new steering gear; new front static camber setting; lowered ride height; extra sound insulation including acoustic glass; re-engineered seats; softer touch surfaces; new LED ambient lighting and center console; new fascios, fenders, hood, and deck lid; new tail lamps, fog lights, and halogen projector headlamps with LED accents, and grille.

All the minivans come with a 3.6 liter V6 (283 hp / 260 lb-ft) and six-speed automatic; gas mileage is targeted at 17 city, 25 highway. They also have substantial improvements in emergency handling and stopping power, and a new Fuel Economizer switch that changes the transmission shift schedule for better mileage.

Town and Country minivans now have LED taillamps, and a heavily retuned suspension with different spring rates. Seats are more comfortable, and captain's chairs in the middle row return.
